Admin Console & Organization Structure
What is the Admin Console used for?
The Admin Console allows admins to configure organization structure, create users, define parameters, map employees, upload data in bulk, and raise tickets.
What types of organization nodes are supported?
Organization structure supports nodes such as Cluster, Tower, Process, LOB, and Sub-LOB.
Can I deactivate a process or LOB?
Yes. Any node can be marked as Inactive if the process or LOB is no longer operational.
What calculation methods are available?
ManPlanDx supports both FTE-based and Transaction-based calculation methods.
Parameters & Calculations
Why are parameters important?
Parameters are the foundation of workforce planning. All calculations, planning, AI predictions, and reports depend on correctly defined parameters.
What are Standard Parameters?
Standard Parameters are pre-configured parameters based on Erlang and industry-standard logic. These can be mapped and customized as per process needs.
Can parameters be grouped?
Yes. Parameters can be grouped (e.g. Headcount, Volumes) and ordered using priority and group order settings.
What does Aggregation mean?
Aggregation defines how parameter values behave in reports, such as Sum, Percentage, or other supported aggregation types.
How does the Holiday Country option work?
When the “Working Days” parameter is selected, the Holiday Country option applies the respective country’s holiday calendar during calculations.
Bulk Uploads
What data can be uploaded in bulk?
Admins can bulk upload Organization Structure, Weekly Parameter Inputs, User Logins, and Holiday Calendars using Excel templates.
Is bulk upload mandatory?
Bulk upload is optional but highly recommended for large organizations to save time and avoid manual errors.
User, Process & Role Mapping
Why can’t users see all processes?
Users can only view processes, LOBs, and towers that are explicitly mapped to them by an admin.
How are roles assigned to users?
Roles are assigned using a bulk upload process where users are aligned to predefined roles.
Matrix, Inputs & Assumptions
Who can use Matrix & Inputs?
Matrix & Inputs are primarily used by WFM and MIS Executives as part of regular workforce planning activities.
Why is Set Assumptions mandatory?
Without assumptions, the Planner cannot calculate manpower. Assumptions define target or planned values.
What happens if End Month is not selected?
If the End Month is not selected, the system automatically assigns values to prevent incorrect data entry.
Planner
Does Planner support weekly planning?
Yes. Weekly planning is mandatory for calculations. Monthly view is only for display and reporting.
Are calculations applied backward?
No. All changes in Planner apply on a forward basis only, ensuring historical data remains unchanged.
AI & Advanced Analytics
How much data is required for AI Prediction?
At least one year of historical data is recommended for accurate AI-based predictions.
What is the “What If?” feature used for?
The “What If?” feature helps simulate different scenarios before finalizing targets.
Charts & Dashboard
Can users create their own charts?
Yes. Users can create charts by selecting parameters for primary and secondary Y-axis and save them.
Are dashboards user-specific?
Yes. Each user sees only their own saved charts on the dashboard.
